Church Programs

Adults:

  • Adult Fellowship Groups meet Sunday Morning at 9:30 a.m
  • An adult program is offered during Wednesday Activities, starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • Various Adult Fellowship Groups meet in homes on a regular basis for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. Contact the church office for further information about a group that may suit your needs.
  • Men at Redeemer are offered a chance to break away from their weekday routines and come together for fellowship and fun.
    • Service projects in which men may participate are scheduled throughout the year, such as a workday at church to spruce up the building and grounds. Several people in the Redeemer family have also been helped with projects in their homes.
  • Women at Redeemer are given opportunities for fellowship together through monthly activities, such as craft nights and breakfasts.
    • Service projects are organized each year, including a hat and mitten collection for area school children and Operation Christmas Child, where shoeboxes of small toys and gifts are assembled and sent to needy children overseas.
  • Spiritual growth for women is also encouraged through a Fall Seminar, a Spring Retreat, and weekly lay-led women's Bible studies.

Teens:

  • Programs for Junior High (grades 7 & 8) and Senior High (grades 9-12) youth are offered and led by Pastor Steve, Redeemer's Minister for Youth and Christian Education, with the assistance of other caring adult mentors, who have a special concern for teens.
  • In both programs, young people are guided towards owning a personal faith in Christ. The study of God's Word focuses on applications to everyday situations. God's love is demonstrated through opportunities for leadership and service. Fellowship activities offer a fun, supportive environment in which to develop stronger ties with one another. In these ways, teens take responsibility for growing in their faith and are encouraged to remain active in a church family as adults.
  • Senior High:
    • Bible study during the Wednesday Activities at 6:30 p.m.
    • Sunday School is offered on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m.
    • Sunday meetings run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in youths' homes. This is a time for fun and fellowship with games, singing, sharing, and food. Sometimes there's a volleyball challenge. Every other month everyone joins together for an "out to dinner night" at a local restaurant. There are parties throughout the year, including a Christmas party and summer pool parties.
    • Other monthly fellowship activities include everything from snowtubing and ice skating to gymnastics and trips to the beach and area amusement parks. A "Drop-in Night" is held periodically at Redeemer, where teens can come to hang out together for a few hours.
    • There are two overnight retreats held every year.
    • Every month or so, teens can get involved in service projects, such as helping out at the Rescue Mission's soup kitchen, ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Christmas time, and participating in a hospital party for terminally ill kids.
    • Some teens serve periodically on a Senior High Worship Team, leading prayer and music on Sunday mornings at Redeemer.
    • Teens develop leadership skills by serving on a youth planning team, helping to organize events for the Senior High youth group.
  • Junior High:
    • Sunday School is offered on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m.
    • Meetings are held during the Wednesday Activities from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. for group activities in a fun, informal atmosphere. Both active and more quiet group games are played, and God's Word is shared. These activities offer opportunities to develop relationships and nurture a faith in Christ. There are also parties throughout the year, including a Christmas party and some pool parties.
    • Other fellowship activities include everything from snowtubing and ice skating to gymnastics and trips to the beach and area amusement parks.
    • There are two overnight retreats held every year.
    • Four times a year or so, teens can get involved in service projects, such as helping out at the Rescue Mission's soup kitchen, ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Christmas time, and participating in a hospital party for terminally ill kids.
