Various Adult Fellowship Groups meet in homes on a regular basis for
prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. Contact the church office for
further information about a group that may suit your needs.
-
Men at
Redeemer are offered a chance to break away from their weekday routines
and come together for fellowship and fun.
-
Women at
Redeemer are given opportunities for fellowship together through monthly
activities, such as craft nights and breakfasts.
-
Service
projects are organized each year, including a hat and mitten collection
for area school children and Operation Christmas Child, where
shoeboxes of small toys and gifts are assembled and sent to needy
children overseas.
-
Spiritual
growth for women is also encouraged through a Fall Seminar, a Spring
Retreat, and weekly lay-led women's Bible studies.
Teens:
-
Programs
for Junior High (grades 7 & 8) and Senior High (grades 9-12) youth
are offered and led by Pastor Steve, Redeemer's Minister for Youth
and Christian Education, with the assistance of other caring adult
mentors, who have a special concern for teens.
-
In both
programs, young people are guided towards owning a personal faith
in Christ. The study of God's Word focuses on applications to everyday
situations. God's love is demonstrated through opportunities for leadership
and service. Fellowship activities offer a fun, supportive environment
in which to develop stronger ties with one another. In these ways,
teens take responsibility for growing in their faith and are encouraged
to remain active in a church family as adults.
-
Senior
High:
- Bible study during
the Wednesday Activities at 6:30 p.m.
- Sunday School is
offered on Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m.
- Sunday meetings run
from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in youths' homes. This is a time for fun
and fellowship with games, singing, sharing, and food. Sometimes
there's a volleyball challenge. Every other month everyone joins
together for an "out to dinner night" at a local restaurant. There
are parties throughout the year, including a Christmas party and
summer pool parties.
- Other monthly fellowship
activities include everything from snowtubing and ice skating
to gymnastics and trips to the beach and area amusement parks.
A "Drop-in Night" is held periodically at Redeemer, where teens
can come to hang out together for a few hours.
- There are two overnight
retreats held every year.
- Every month or so,
teens can get involved in service projects, such as helping out
at the Rescue Mission's soup kitchen, ringing bells for the Salvation
Army at Christmas time, and participating in a hospital party
for terminally ill kids.
- Some teens serve
periodically on a Senior High Worship Team, leading prayer and
music on Sunday mornings at Redeemer.
- Teens develop leadership
skills by serving on a youth planning team, helping to organize
events for the Senior High youth group.
